EDC looks to support Canada’s SaaS exports.

CEO Craig Attiwill joins panel at EDC conference to discuss opportunities to support SaaS-based companies

VICTORIA February 21, 2020 – The previous models at Export Development Canada are based on traditional goods import/export and so at this year’s EDC conference in Ottawa, a panel was held to discuss how to support Canada’s software and technologies industries.

CEO of Peloton Technologies Inc, Craig Attiwill, joins the discussion of how the organization can work differently to be there for Canada’s next generation of global champions. Joining the panel are Caroline Abela, director of EDCs digital product development and innovation lab; Joy Yap, Founder & CEO at Wyld Skincare; Anne Marie Simoneau, program lead of trade advisory programs; moderated by Mélanie Carter, EDC’s own Knowledge partnerships lead.

“What a great experience,” says Attiwill. “I was able to witness firsthand the amazing culture within the organization and meet many of the team. All of them immediately wanted to know how they can help with the problems we face growing our exports, and how they could apply or creatively adapt the tools at their disposal to solve our specific impediments. Thanks again to all of the fellow panel members”
